it was a good day for some people but not so good for others i heard a few giving out about playing in groups of 3. its not so easy for people to come up with 10 euros for two games of darts. it something that the cwdo might have to look at .

My last comment was my way of starting to look at the situ yet u didnt make any comment on it there is one part of me that is saying yea all you guys should be geared up for the short course [ ie its the best of three in all County games / Leinsters / All Irelands ] so three on a board should not faze you the other part is looking at you guys coming in and giving up yer €10 and only gettin two (2) games the more i think of this the more i am leaning towards my comment start at 4.30 and finish at around the same time as we have been doing [9.30 ish ] average for the Tournaments since we started Round Robins Groups of four would mean only 32 enties max allowed with 8 boards anything other than that would mean more stands to be put up and if entries go down ??? lots of things to take into consideration [ Bums on seats for the Sponcers etc etc ] lets work from here and get ur info and we will deal with it at AGM 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

nobody wants groups of 6........ just a min of groups of 4 would be great.

more boards would solve the prob very easy.. the cwdo has 16 boards so use them all. start the ladies after the mens group stages. easy.

use as many boards as needed. if ur going to stick with groups of 3 mite as well go back to straight knock out ur going to have the same pretty much the same faces as you would the other way anyhow. whats most important at the end of the ranking system is that you make better preperations for all irelands and leinsters. if that means less or shorter ranking system backed up by more intense practice by a closed squad nearer inter counties time. could have 100 turning up to the ranking events and great it will put money in the kitty but it will do fcuk all in the over all standard or level of consistency of our players at county level. we all saw the standard set down by donegal and thats where we need to be next year it will only be done through lots of top level games and i dont believe the ranking events are going to deliver a higher standard either in groups of three 4 or 5. panel needs to be selected earlier an more intense practice between the squad after that. you need only look at our county footballers three years ago had a fairly closed squad good league run and all ireland semi final strong team spirit!!!!!! then new system bring in everyune with a pair of boots and try them out RESULT...... no league or champoinship win 14 or 15 games

Using as many boards as needed is NOT an issue there will be times when there will be only groups of three (3) [hope not ] the only way at the moment that we raise money to send the Couty Teams away [at least part sponsered ] is the amount of Ranking Tournaments we have during the year [fact] thought the preps this year went well ish enough this year. Will be better NEXT YEAR will keep building on it Donegal have now been setting the standard for a long Number of years but thye are a diff breed you will not see any of their guys in the bars or anywhere else in Hotel after 12 oc the night before they have a game [fact ] that should be the way we go ] getting top level games shouldnt be a prob but its things like money / time off / babysitters / putting up with wives not understanding that you have to be missing every second Sunday and now maybe every other Sunday as well ???? Not really in favour of an ELITEIST group of players either. Ordinary joe soap who IS the bread and butter of the Org at the moment [ we wouldnt survive without em ] and who has aspirations of maybe becomeing an Inter County Player will loook at the ELITEIST squad and maybe think naw fcwk it i havnt got a chance gettin in there its a closed shop ???? but with the ranking tours he has ashot at it up to the last maybe 3 os 4 Rankings Now i know there are going to be people looking at this strand and saying but we cant afford to bring ordinary JOE SOAP along with us he is not good enough ?? well how does he get any better if he is not given a chance ?? there were a lot of untried players along with us this year and until i seen em play maybe i had those thoughts going around in me head but after seeing em play my mind is at ease and i know they will kick on from there and be far better next year ;) ;) ;) :o :o
