last wek a number of people in the nuwbawn darts club were wondering if they had a vote in the agm. cam you please post up a full list of all people elagable to vote.
can this be done before 8 this evening so i can inform them at tonights event
Yea was a good meetin except for the MASS walkout ??? what was that all about had a long conversation with one of the lads last night and i still am none the wiser as far as i can see there about 2 or 3 of em leading the rest of them around sorry state of affairs dont know where that leaves women darts in the County BUT have no doubts in my mind that we will survive. Cant understand PEOPLE NOT WANTING TO ABIDE BY DECISIONS THAT ARE MADE AT AN AGM ??? there were a lot of PROPOSALS that were put foward by people some were accepted some were not but i didnt see those people get up and walk out But there ya go . Interesting times ahead
Would like to say that i am completely and utterly appalled at the context of this post I am replying to. To be honest I should not be surprised as it is as shocking as the agm I attended. Firstly I would like to point out that I have my own opinions and have not been lnfluenced by any other person who attended that agm nor have I influenced any person. I could not understand why when it was quiet obvious that eight members out of eleven did not want the person elected to be manager of the ladies wexford team and yet he was still elected. I know that two of these members were unable to attend the agm. So the reason I personally walked out is that I found the whole thing a joke! A team that had done so well in all tournaments representing their county were so disgracefully undermined at the agm and the last comment I'd like to make is if its not broken why fix it.
1st of all shellie lets take your string point by point an AGM is a meeting held at the end of every year in the Organisation at which Members put foward Ideas / Questions / New Rules / etc etc and they are voted on by the MEMBERS and if passed by a MAJORITY of the members present then they are acted on during the year until they are either changed or dropped altogether. The walkout i refer to seemed to me to be agreed on before hand as all the people seemed to get up and walk out in unison ??? that smacks to me as a certian amount [ 2 or 3 ] people influnceing others It was not as you said 8 out of 11 people it was 8 out of 19 people. The people present voted for the two people put foward for the position of County Manager AND THE VOTING WAS 11 TO 8 IN FAVOUR THE PERSO ELECTED EVEN IF THE TWO PEOPLE OF WHICH U REFER TO ATTENDED IT WOULD NOT HAVE MADE ANY DIFFERANCE HE STILL WOULD HAVE GOT THE POSITION Let me assure you shellie that we have never treated Co Darts as a JOKE as you have said we take it very serious and i resent that. just because a decision did not go ur way the Organisation is a joke
Now lets take the last point u make [ A team that has done so well over the last number of years [ the last two years especially ] under a Manager who brought great sucess to that team [ Leinster Champions 2009 beaten in the Intercounties final 09 Beaten in the Leinster Final 2010 and the Inter Counties final 2010 ] not a bad record you will agree yet there was a certain few who wanted to get rid of him half way through the season ?? and put someone else in his place [ if its not broke why fix it ??????????????] what would you call that Looking foward to your reply and i have no doubt there will be one ? Dont know where this leaves Womens Darts in the County but it will survive
