I rest my case with the following [ getting hand picked teams.] this is from your last strand if the Smithwicks Wexford Town Dart League was opened to all county dart players i would HAVE NO doubt in my mind that you guys would get as many County Dart Players on a TEAM from NEWBAWN DART CLUB into the Town Dart League. THUS RENDERING YOURSELVES NO BETTER THAN THE REST OF THE PUBS ???? And that is why so many players / Officials /plus people who bother their arse to turn up to the AGM of the Town Dart League view you guys A piece of a strand i put up a while back Human nature being what it is . Is people will get thje best possible players to play on their TEAMS and thats a FACT and a million of smileies to you and the NDC KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YEZ ARE DOING A BRILLIANT JOB
not going to go through that statement and pick all the bones out of it but will put a few things straight on it. 1st if anyone thinks that the top 8 in wex would play together if allowed thats just bulls... 2 if there were ten county players in newbawn they should still b allowed play together they started off practicing together and they got better fair fu..s to them. 3 im fed up saying theres better pl,ayers out there than those on the county panel and its that that allows the HAND PICKED TEAMS TO HAPPEN. 4 ITS BECAUSE OF THAT that the better teams get stronger each year to keep themselves in with a shout of winning. 5 there are only so many top level players throught the county anyway and by letting more than 3 players on to teams it would have helped some of the weaker teams compete on a level field with the better teams. 6 seeing what brownes and the horse and hound have again this year i dont think theyed take a county player on to their panels. 7 in no way is it fair on those outside the top 13 or 14 places on the county list most of those are trying really hard to improve their game and lots are new comers yet is ok for those who are more than good enough for the county panel buy wont bother their arses going. this whole thing isnt about making dev 1 fairer and stopping players grouping together it is simply an attack on county players because theyre an easy target. at the moment theres a team out there who could be put together that would beat or go vy close to beating this years county selection. THE MAIN REASON WEXFORD HAVNT WON MORE ALL IRELANDS.
Its a good job there triple5 that you didnt go through my last post and pick the bones out of it i would have had to put up another website / Forum for your answer lets go through it 1.They would believe you me have been involved in darts in Wexford Town and County Dart now for the last 30 years and have seen it all really people phoneing here there and bloody everywhere looking to get the best poss team to play in the SMALLEST / BIGGEST tournements that i have been involved / or organised let it be either big Tournaments or even charity Tournaments all players / pubs want to have the BEST team they can get and no matter what u say to me i will never change my mind on that point 2Totally agree with you on 2 why shouldnt people on the County Team who play with certain teams not play together all the time 3. Totally agree with you as well on this one there are better players out there [dont think anybody would disagree with u on that ] but at the moment the County Squad is the best there is full stop the hand picked teams part of ur thread smacks of No 1 and thats not bulls*** 4Not even going to go there as that because it has and will be dealt with overall in this thread 5. If for instance they league had let more than 3 Co players on each team the bigger pubs would have had more of em on their teams this has already been dealt with in No1 6 Knowing the lads the way i know em id say yea they would the horse and Hound team is Chaz Bar old team and Foleys and a couple of other good players all brought together by one man [ now now wexdarts no names no names ]
7 . We as a county board cannot force anybody to either register / play for the County or play in our ranking tours so you will ALWAYS get the other good dart players as u call em out there nothing can be done about that its getting back to an earlier thread from someone re people with their own agendas going down to GMs and shouting the loudest and getting their point across getting their motions passed and hey presto BOBS ur uncle job DONE its up to everybody who has an opinion to down there to their AGMs and get theirs across and not leaving it up to other people because those other people never show up either they just like to bitch on and on and on If i really put my mind to it i prob could name a couple of teams who would give the team a run for their money we threw it out there on the 6th Dec to the Town Dart League and in fairness to the poeople who did turn up it was great to see them but i know of severall players who promised to but DIDNT bother their arses to THE MAIN REASON WEXFORD HAVNT WON MORE ALL IRELANDS. your point mmmmmm dont have enough space to really answer this one i wouldnt even try to. Me fingers would get to sore but one thing i will say is that we have the BEST squad poss going up to both Killkenny and dont forget Killkenny only beat us by a throw of a dart in the last 2 games and they are already one of the Favourites [ well in their mind anyway ] and to castlebar and i will defend that to the last a better bunch of lads you will never find Jesus im knackered after all that
the best 8 wont always go together on hand picked teams because the prob wouldnt all get on with each other u always get groups that tend to go together and i agree it human nature that that happens thats what sport is all about somebody sets the bar and everyone tries to beat it .the chaz old team as u call it aka jim mcgees aka the wave crest or what ever else u like to call them has more or less the same core players for the last 15 years. its just a bit silly that players on the bottom of the county ranking list are being handicapped when ger foxe tom o connor eddy berry 3 of the best that wexford has ever produced have no restrictions. if 4 talk sake they had said that no more than 3 of wexfords top 12 should be allowed play together and allow the rest play anywhere they want i think that would be acceptable. i agree think theres a great county panel there and many of those players will improve a hell of a lot more over the coming year too. i no we only missed out by a feckin dart 2 kikkenny IT WAS MY FECKIN DART
Ah Garry ya see thats were you guys should have gotten down to the AGM and put those points foward thats what im saying its no use going over and over this if u dont put it into the back of ur head store it and act on it at Nexts years AGM DONE DEAL Good of ya to stand up there Garry and take on the chin like a man had forgotten all about it being your dart as Bill CulleN says in the apprentice YOUR FIRED HA HA :o Been through all the teams that could have should have been but it only does me head in f**k it no use in doing that to yourself
The results and the Fixtures are now up there for the LAST TWO weeks wont be putting em here the Smithwicks Town Dart League have their own page like all good leagues should have lmao wahhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyy Up Wexford and heres a few smilies thrown in for good measure
