I would like to thank the newbawn darts club for inviting me to play in their invitation only compation next wednesday night but sadly im going to have to turn it down because of eddie wade the person running the pub in which it is going to be played.

dan the reason you did not get an invite is because it was restricted to people living in the newbawn area so when it comes to playing raymond van barneveld there wil be at least on person from newbawn playing him and will generate more local support .do you see where there coming from ? but there is a second comp coming up which is open to every one just like last year. to answer your question on why im not going it is because of the bar man/gennet we had a major falling out on friday night and i no longer want to give him my custom he dont deserve to have any people in that pub he is rude lazy and above all stupid the pub is always dirty you have to double check your change evey time you buy a drink the gents toilets are stinking so why whould i want to go there . i do love playing darts in the club but something had to give i could only hold my tongue for so long and his actions friday night pushed me over the edge and if eddie is still in the pub next year i wont be renewing my membership to the NDC.

The comp is been run to sent a newbawn person to play barney in the expo. the reason is to creat more interest and a bigger following within the area. this invitional comp is not just for members of the club but its for all people living in the newbawn area. the club does not wish to offend anybody who does not get an invite and hope you understand where were coming from.

the comp will be held this wed at 9 in foleys where it will be played down to the final with the final been player this sat in the horse and hound during the interval of the league of leagues.

the club will be holdin a further comp which will be run the same as last year with entry open to everybody and the winner also goin to play barney.

pity you wont be there pjesus. next year should be very much improved for all members.

is the invitation open to all members of the club or just to the ones from newbawn area?

the possibility of a new publican seems to be no1 on the cards

this invitation comp is for people from newbawn regardless if there in the darts club or not. its restricted to newbawn people as we feel it would be a huge boost to have a newbawn guy play barney. everybody else will get there chance to play for the same prize just like last year when andrew kavanagh took the honors and went on to play phil the power taylor.

as you can imagine intrest in going to see the talyor expo dropped when an unknown (andrew) went to represent the club so we feel it would benifit both the club to have at least one newbawn guy playing as it would inject huge interest and also bring a bus load of supporters to cheer on the 2nd guy we send no matter where he/ she hails from.

hope you all understand where were comin from with this. you wont be at a loss as you will still have your chance just like last year.

I Am going to advise all forum users to be aware of what they are writing down about other people!! I am from taghmon and i heard about an incident in newbawn and i also READ about it!! This is out of order!! Do you know what its called writing about someone on the web? SLANDER!! Cop on to yourself and dont be telling everyone your business!! Childish behaviour from grown men!! I couldnt believe what i read!!
