leagues of leagues 2010 Date ;- sat may 29th Venue :- horse & hound
The Newbawn darts club will be hosting the league of leagues event again this year. After the great success last year we will by hoping to make 2010 bigger and better for all involved. This year we will yet again have the big stage, the matches on the big screen and the all important walk on music for all the players in the latter end of the competition. This year the wexford town team will sure to be back to defend there title but rest assure Bannow /Rathangain will have there sights set further than just reaching the finals and no doubt Gorey and Enniscorty will be hoping to do better than the semi finals. This year will see one rule change with a max of 3 players from any team in there respective league on the team to be entered . This is a one day event that will take place in the horse and hound hotel at the earlier date of may 29th the earlier date this year is due to feed back from the players last year and this date is at the end of most dart leagues seasons so should see all players at the peak of there performance. The event will consist of up to 16 teams made up with players from each of the respective leagues in the county wexford; each team submitted will be selected by the committee governing the respective leagues We invite you to enter a team to represent your league, the full set of rules regards team selection can be viewed in the thread marked rules and regs., Format for the event will remain the same with all teams playing in a round robin format and the top teams coming out of there groups to progress to the knock out stages. All matches will be 7 games of singles with each game worth one point all games will be the best of 5 legs so all players involved will get between 9-15 legs of darts in the group stages alone. The horse & hound will have a 3 Corse meal on the day for €20 per person There is an entry fee of €100 per team and for any league entering 2 teams the second team entry will be €75 if entering a third team the will be €50 . The winning team will receive €800 and the members of the winning team will also receive a trophy that will symbolise they are the undisputable top league in wexford for 2010 this is a perpetual cup will be awarded for the duration of one year this is currently held by the wexford town league team. The full line up for the day will consist of teams submitted from county wexford leagues so there will be teams from:- the across the water league, gorey league, wexford town league, enniscorthy town league, new ross town league, shelmalier league, bannow / rathangain league, rosslare league, kilmore league. If you wish to enter a team into this event the entry fee must be paid by April 24th this is a very strict deadline as places are limited to 16 teams.
