Following the AGM of the INDO on Sunday last the 24th Jan 2010 the following points were agreed and will be strictly enforced by them at this years Inter Counties in Castlebar
1. Teams must wear a County Shirt, Black Tailored Trousers the ladies have a choice of wearing trousers or a skirt but must be black and black Footwear. No Runners / Trainers will be allowed
2. Under no Circumstances can a player or Marker take any beverages of Any description including water into the playing area.Players are not allowed to to take a drink when they are involved in a game ie no one is allowed to hand a drink to them while they are in the playing area
3. Teams must not all go to meals together must go in relays when they are not required to play

Does a bottle of water with a drop of Paddy init yum yum ring a bell lmao But other than that have to agree people get dry mouths etc etc up on a stage / playing darts water should be allowed even the PDC allow that

any idea whats behind that decision? was there an incident of some discription.kinda like having a drink my self when playing and happy to have water so thats a tough one. jaysus one poor devil i no still going round with a stick of chalk instead of a fag,now may have a pint of talcin powder in stead of a drink becoming a little too politically correct i think.

Havnt a clue whats behind it except that they are following the trend now of the WDF / BDO / PDC / ETC ETC they do not allow any drink on the stage Talcum Powder yuk a lot of water / pints would want to be drank after skulling a can of that
every darts organisation alloy you to drink water while playing.
sure you could be like billy mac and walk away from the board out of the playing area and have a drink and then go back into the playing area.. dont think there is a rule about the time it takes to throw yer darts..
any chance we can get ALL the rules from the indo?

its a bit strange all rite, drink isnt an instant booster it takes anywhere from half an hour to an hour for drink to take effect. so one while ur playing will do nothing anyway. hard to beat billy for the time record allrite. do ta think the rule makers in the indo would be interested in observing billy for a game or two
